Climate Change is not just about our future... It's visible now
Across the planet now we see ever more flood, ever more drought, ever more storms. People are dying, communities are being wrecked — the impacts we’re already witnessing from climate change are unlike anything we have seen before.
But because the globe is so big, it’s hard for most people to see that it’s all connected. That’s why, on May 5, we will Connect the Dots.
We'll be creating a demonstration on May 5th with 350.org to build momentum for the state legislation we've been working on for the last year!!! Utah already sees lower snowpack, increased forest fire risk, and loss of valuable forest from pine beetles who make it through our warm winters...What's going to happen to our food and water as that increases?

This is more than dancing in the STREETS
In May we requested a GHG reduction plan and public hearing to 8 Utah Agencies
They said they are too busy and don't have enough money for our future! In September we danced with the Utah Lindy Exchange for 350.org's Moving Planet Event.
Now we're introducing a bill to the Utah State Legislature -
Please join us
We'll keep marching, dancing and singing until we are IMPOSSIBLE TO IGNORE

JOY AND RESOLVE:
in response to threats to our future and violations against our FREE SPEECH Marade to force our leaders to address OUR Climate OUR Future and OUR fundamental human RIGHTS
Since we will inherit this world, iMatter was created to reach across regional, ideological, and ethnic borders, to empower youth to organize, and be heard on the issue of global climate change. We are not only the generation who will suffer most from its consequences. We are also the generation who will bring about the change needed to create a sustainable and just society that values nature and future generations as much as short term interests.
May 7-14 ONE MILLION YOUTH STOOD FOR THE PLANET
The iMatter March of Utah is part of the largest youth mobilization ever to demand concrete actions against climate change.
The iMatter March in Salt Lake City was a participatory marade calling Utah residents to walk side by side to demonstrate their commitment to
"living as though our future matters." -
Now we continue that "walk" with LEGAL ACTIONS and state policy
Demanding that our state and federal government listen to our stories.
"When I get older, I will be stronger....." K'Naan
We might have been squished to the sidewalks but our issue to address climate change in UT will not be squished to the sidelines.
I want to grow into a life filled with adventure, not spent remembering the world how it used to be ∙ I want my child to be guaranteed a livable future∙ I want to experience nature without having to worry that it won’t be there someday ∙ I want fresh water from my tap and healthy food on my table ∙ I want a world I can promise to my children
